Raising funds to provide and improve housing (including winterization, repair of damage due to disasters) where the need is greatest. Presently raising funds to improve a home damaged by a recent storm, to rent a home for a family, required so they can be reunited (children, ages 2 to 5 in foster care). We are working to develop partnerships in the communities we serve so we may work together to winterize homes.
One of the greatest challenges on the reservation is transportation. We are always in need of donated vehicles (road worthy and salvage) and financial donations for this purpose (purchase and repair of vehicles). Need and contribution to the community are two key factors considered in determining who gets vehicle assistance.
New and gently used clothing, school supplies toys etc. are collected and delivered to various locations throughout the U.S. We ask that these items be distributed to the most in need, regardless of religious or other affiliation. Each year in the fall we receive a large donation of new coats and other new top quality, famous designer clothing (samples) that we distribute to school age children/youth and their families in Indian Country. Mailing cost is ~$50.00/box.
We are raising funds to provide tutors (hire tutors in the community to tutor youth in the community).
We also provide school supplies.
